The first movie ended with the family’s relationship being restored and peace being made between Grandpa and his grandson, Peter. However, there are still many unresolved issues that can be explored in a second movie.
Firstly, the dynamic between Grandpa and Peter has always been a major driving force of the story. With Peter now being a teenager, there is plenty of room for conflict and growth in their relationship.
